Fleadh fly into Warsaw to support A Touch of Ireland feat. Carrantuohill and Anna Faber.
All excited the band arrived at Warsaw Airport a day before their performance with the irish Folk Band Carrantouhill , and Harp player Anna Faber in Poland. On Saturday morning armed with their instruments they trammed into the city set up at the Warsaw central rail station and busked for the whole morning. After the sound check at two the band relaxed taking in the marvelous performance from the above said artists who run their show under the title ' A Touch of Ireland' which is a unique small version of the world renowned Irish show Riverdance. The show consists of eight dancers, the band Carrantouhill and the Harp player Anna Faber. After one hour of the show Fleadh kicked in with their one hour set and enthralled the enthusiastic crowd. Following that a Touch of Ireland went on to round up a quite spectacular early evening event. The friendliness of the Polish artists had a lasting effect on the Fleadh members and promises were made to meet up again in the near future. That of course was not enough for Fleadh who immediately set off for the city centre, enjoyed a good restaurant and plunged into some late night busking in the wonderfully lightened picturesque Warsaw central market square. Pics following soon. |
